  • Established in the year 1992, the department offers UG and PG courses and has recognized PhD research center.
  • The department has been accredited Four times by the National Board of Accreditation.
  • Emphasis is on industry-institute interaction activities; a need for UG and PG. Programmes.
  • Department, the teaching and non-teaching staff has actively participated in the development of the Department.
  • All the furniture required for classrooms, office and staff rooms is designed and fabricated by the Department in Mechanical Workshop.
  • From time to time addition of various experimental set-ups, equipments viz. CNC machine, CAD laboratory, Product Development Lab, Mechatronics Lab , Bosch Rexroth Center of Competence in Automation, Smart Foundry Lab, Engine and Fuel Research lab , AICTE IDEA Lab and Wi -Fi Internet facility of 1Gbps lease line etc. has resulted in sate of art in fracture for students.
  • Department of Mechanical Engineering has contributed very actively in the academic activities of Shivaji University , Kolhapur . The participation includes Board of Studies Chairmanship & syllabus revision workshops .
  • The Department has encouraged the staff members to improve their qualifications by sponsoring and deputing for M.E., M.Tech. & Ph.D. programmes.
  • The Department also has conducted various industry sponsored Workshops for teaching staff of engineering colleges and practicing engineers, to impart latest training in related technological area.

  2. Organized a Technical event named “Mechartistry” on Friday 7th Feb 2025 event featured with Round 1: Free Hand Sketching & Round 2: Presentation. Deepak Yadav, Chandrakant Koravi- Winner, Raj Powar, Harshavardhan Chougule- 1st Runner Up and Meet Kalal, Sharvil Lokhande- 2nd Runner Up
  3. Darshan Patil, Ms. Radhika Latthe, Ms. Pooja Punekar, Mr. Mehul Kulkarni and Ms. Aditi Patange won Second prize in VISION 2K25 Project Competition held on 14-15 Mar. 2025 at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli.

  1. Clinched the prestigious Best Project Award on 5 Mar. 2024, from Tata Technologies Ltd and Goshima Center of Excellence to project “Automation of Sliding Window by Mobile application” done by group students Tatyasaheb Magdum, Paras Patil, Nagesh Salunkhe and Akshata Mangsule.
  2. On 23 Mar.2024, team students Vishwaraj Patil and Ms. Saniya Desai secured third prize in “TechFusion: A Technical Project Competition” at KIT COE, Kolhapur for project “Eco-friendly Water Purification and Cooling Device with Air Humidifier”.
  3. Charak Landage, Second Year student clinched First Prize with Cash of Rs.12000 for Mobility Ideathon titled "Ideas for Safe Smart Sustainable Mobility" conducted by ARAI, SAEIndia Western Section & TechNovuus Synergizing Technology & Innovation on March 15, 2024.
  4. Project has been granted Rs.15000 to the project by students Miss. Prajakta Chougule, Miss. Harshada Kawale, Miss. Ankita Desai and Mr. Yash Tale for R&D by Ready Engineer MSME Scheme by Tata Technologies and Centre of Excellence, GOSHIMA, Kolhapur.
  5. In association with YASHPOLY industry, students 1) Tatyasaheb Magdum 2) Paras Patil 3) Nagesh Salunkhe 4) Akshata Mangsule developed a "Remote operated windows system with rain & smoke sensors" and product prototype was displayed in Zak International Exhibition at Mumbai.
  6. As a part of MSME Project Funding, Students 9 Projects had got funds of Rs.1.45 Lakh from Tata Technologies Ltd. (TTL, Pune) and Gokul Shirgaon Manufacturers Association (GOSHIMA).

  • Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, and review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.

  • PSO 2. Students will able to interpret drawing, handbooks, manuals, engineering catalogue, design data book, draw engineering drawings and operate course related machines, devices, instruments and industry relevant software and manage requirement and challenges of industry effectively.
